When RonTen Berge left Kraft Foods to move to Schering he became immersed in a
completely new land of business after years of being in the consumer food
industry. At Schering, he had to learn the new world of over the counter pharmaceuticals.
Schering owned products like Coppertone and Dr. Scholl’s Insoles. It was an
extremely intellectually stimulating time for Ron Ten Berge and even though he
was selling to through the same channels as when he was in the consumer foods
industry, he had to learn a new part of the store.
