Ron Ten Berge on How Things Have Changed in the Office Space

Ron Ten Berge knows that things have changed. We are living in a world that is more casual compared to twenty or thirty years ago. There are few places that still dress in a suit and tie. In general, companies have become a business casual environment.

Twenty to thirty years ago, Ron Ten Berge went to work with a tie on every day. Now, he only wears a suit if he is going to an investor meeting or giving a business presentation, something that involves banks or private equity investors.

Now, Ron Ten Berge wear a jacket and tie less than 5% of the time. When you wonder who still wears a suit and tie every day, it is usually banks and financial firms. Startup culture has changed things as well and pushed our attire into the casual.

Usually, Ron wears golf shirts and slacks at work. He prefers shopping at Nordstrom and Men’s Warehouse, mostly because they are great with their customer service.
